I had some concerns about the structural soundness of plaster ceilings in my 1950s ranch - there is some waviness and cracking in the ceilings. I called Philip to get an evaluation and quote for work. was very impressed with Philip's honesty and professionalism

Philip was able to come to my house within 1 day of my call (on a Saturday no less). He arrived a little early (but called ahead to make sure that would work for me).
He asked plenty of questions and took floor to ceiling measurements in several places to check for sagging. For one room that I had significant concerns about, he evaluated the situation from the attic. He explained how the ceiling was constructed and how that resulted in the waviness and cracks I was seeing.
In the end, he told me that he believes the ceilings are structurally sound and that the waviness and cracking are aesthetic issues, and he gave me the options to deal with the aesthetics.
I was impressed with his honesty, and I will call him again if I need (or think I need) plaster work.

Estate Plaster (Philip Lamachio and team) have just finished a 5 day project in our 90 year old home. The entire process from first inquiry phone call, to in home estimate, to scheduling, to the actual work itself (including some on the fly additions), to clean up and finally to invoicing was excellent.
Philip is a true expert, and will tell you what your options are and which he sees as the best option. This is born of experience.
If you want a cheap patch good enough to fool an unsuspecting buyer, Estate Plaster is not for you. If you want a problem fixed correctly, and want the best chance of a long lasting remedy, Philip is your man.
Almost needless to say, the work was started and completed perfectly on time. There was an absolute minimum of disruption and mess to our home. No dust problems. The team is very unintrusive and trustworthy. And the end result looks excellent.
All that said, I think the price is fair. I do not feel over charged. So, 5 stars for Estate Plaster.

Of all the people I talked to for estimates, it was clear he knew the most about plaster repair.
He did a really good job and was easy to work with. The surfaces are smooth and even now. When he started there were a number of cracks, etc.
